The AEPCC one-day forum will shape the future of early psychosis research, ensuring it is more inclusive, comprehensive and effective. This will be an opportunity to share stories, learn from others, and help transform lives through better understanding and treatment of psychosis.

The forum will bring together the early psychosis lived experience community to:
- Build their capacity to influence research and the development of new treatments.
- Inspire them to participate in the early psychosis sector in multiple ways.
- Collaborate with clinicians and researchers to help design better research and, ultimately, better outcomes for people with psychosis.
Who is the forum for?
This event is open to:
- People at risk of experiencing psychosis or who have experienced psychosis (lived experience)
- People who have cared for / supported someone through psychosis (lived experience)
- Researchers and clinicians working in the early psychosis sector
Cost:
- Clinicians and researchers: $30
- Lived experience: Free
AEPCC is pleased to offer bursaries for this event. A bursary is a grant provided to help cover expenses for attendees. It is intended to cover travel and accommodation expenses for people who do not live in Melbourne. For instance, a bursary may cover one night’s accommodation and an economy return airfare to and from Melbourne or regional travel within Victoria. Please note that there are a limited number of bursaries available. You can apply for a bursary when you apply to attend the forum (see link below).

About the Artwork
The 2024 AEPCC Forum artwork was created by Kelsey Macdonald, a visual artist who works primarily with painting and textiles. He is also an activist in climate, mental health, LGBTQIA+ issues, and young people’s perspectives and impact in these. He lives in Dja Dja Wurrung Country.
“When I’m trying to describe something immaterial in my art I often go back to the natural forms of landscapes, light, and pattern to describe it. Psychosis can be its own landscape, a kind of cerebral extension of the world that people can have a hard time navigating. It’s also hard to follow some through that landscape but with the right kind of map, one that we make together, it won’t be so confusing.”
